Every year, at Quadwave we have a QSanthe, and as the name suggests, it is indeed a colourful and vibrant marketplace of sorts organised by the QCares team. This year, we held the QSanthe in the last week of October, and for a couple of weeks before the event, preparations had begun. We arranged for stalls from WARDS (from where we got candles and diyas), Spastic Society (lovely jute bags and pen stands etc), plants from APD ( which got sold out in record time!), the cutest and adorabl-est stuffed toys and stationery from Samarthanam and of course, our food stalls! The CSS Terrace was decorated like a rural village straight out of Rajasthan.
Apart from yummy samosas, kachoris, sundal, buttermilk and brownies, we also organised mela type games which everyone seemed to enjoy quite a bit. Shooting out the balloons, or throwing the ring over prizes, were some of the games that people paid to participate.
Of course, we cannot forget the thunderous rain that lashed over the CSS Terrace, flooding all the sides, making us push the stalls towards the centre of the terrace. Despite the rain, people came, bought, ate and enjoyed. It was an evening well spent in the company of friends who were colleagues and colleagues who were friends.
The amount collected for the various charities totaled Rs. 21,000 which was not bad at all, considering how soon everything had been set up.

QSanthe will be back next year, with more goodies and stalls and remember, it’s all for a good cause! The money goes to various organizations whose stalls we are putting up and it also helps in funding the QCares activities for the rest of the year.
